Payless Pay Now pre-payment deal in a nutshell.
Prepay for your rental when you make your reservation and you'll save up to 20% off the Payless counter rate. Pay Now rates are a great way to get a great deal on your next Payless rental.
A few important Pay Now details.
- Look for the special Pay Now and Save button when choosing your car type.
- There is a cancellation fee - please see Cancellation Policy below
- Pay Now rates are only available if you reserve more than one day in advance
- You must bring the same credit card with you to pick up the car
- The person paying must be the same person who is renting
- The Payless Pay Now discount may not be available on all rental cars
Another pre-payment option.
What if the car you want doesn't have a Pay Now discount rate? You can still enjoy the convenience of pre-paying just by clicking "pay online" when making your reservation. It won't get you a bigger discount, but it's a convenience Payless customers still prefer.
Book and pay online early to save.
If you decide to pay online, try to do it early - Payless online payment only works if you're booking more than 24 hours before you pick up your car.
- Your credit or debit card will be charged upon reservation confirmation. Method of prepayment toward your rental may not be changed after confirmation.
- The same credit or debit card used to complete an online prepaid reservation must be presented at the rental pick-up counter as a form of identification. At time of rental pick-up, the last name on all rental credentials (license and credit or debit card) must match the last name on the reservation. If the last names do not match, for security purposes the prepaid reservation will not be honored.
- Your quoted rental rate is based on the exact parameters (locations, dated, etc.) of your particular rental - changing your confirmed reservation parameters could result in a different rate.
- At the time of pick up, driver must present a valid driver's license and credit card (or debit card at participating locations) in the driver's name. All drivers must have a safe driving record.
- Generally, at the time of rental, we'll require a credit card hold of $200. This is in addition to the cost of the rental. While a debit card is an acceptable form of rental prepayment online, it may not be accepted for the credit hold required when you pick up your car.
- If you use a debit card at a location that accepts them, we will perform a credit check to ensure credit worthiness before releasing the car and you must also present a second form of current identification. If you fail to pass the credit check, you will not be able to rent the car.
- Please review the terms and conditions on our confirmation page regarding credit or debit card acceptance at the location.
Cancellation Policy
- If you need to cancel 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time, we will refund the full prepaid amount, less a $50.00 USD processing fee. If the prepay amount is less than $50.00 USD, the entire amount will be forfeited.
- If you do not cancel your reservation 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time or if you fail to rent the car, the entire prepaid amount will be forfeited.
- If you return the vehicle before the original return date (early return), you will not be refunded any portion of the payment.
- Retain your reservation confirmation number as it is necessary for modification or cancellation refund requests.
- Cancellation refund requests must be made on PaylessCar.com using your reservation number and canceling your existing reservation.
- Underpayments will be handled at the counter at time of rental return. Unfortunately, we can't promise that your prepaid daily car rate will apply if you change car types, lengthen or shorten your rental period or change your pick up location.
- Upon returning the vehicle, Payless will process a release of the unused portion of the hold taken at the time of pickup subject to your bank's procedure. This hold may take up to two weeks to be released by your bank.
- If you fail to return the vehicle as agreed, Payless will obtain additional authorizations from your account to cover the rental charges.
